Twilight Picnic

So, I love the idea of an evening picnic so I planned a very inviting twilight picnic just as the sun was going down. Problem is that, I was an hour behind schedule. So, it was just night time. haha. But the thing is that it was fine. We had the classic Lanterns, tea light lamps, and candles for lighting. There was fruit, cheese, french bread, fried chicken, wraps, and so much more. Then we enjoyed a few cocktails. It was greatness. After we ate, I laid in The Man's arms and looked up into the trees. It was beautiful. With Marvin Gaye playing in the background, we just chilled with my sister Pattie and her fiancée.

I know everyone has said it, but I'm ready for spring. Plain and simple. It already feels like it here in Georgia anyway. After a dizzying couple weeks of drama and demands, I feel that things have calmed down enough for me to get back to one of my favorite past times. Blogging.

Thank Goodness.

Oh and did I tell you that I built a little tent around my bed, just for fun. I used bed sheets and blankets and I pretended that I was in secluded camping ground just for me. It was fun. Silly. Spontaneous. You should should try it sometime.

As far as I am concerned, winter is a stay-at-home season, but I am proud of myself for getting out lately. The best part is that when I stepped outside, I did not freeze in place. Actually, it was quite nice out. I sort of made me long for simple times (ie summer) when a girl could grab your boyfriend and makeout behind a tree.

...if we tried that now, I'm sure our lips will get stuck together. And besides, The Man is sadly miles and miles away. Tragic truths. But, the good news is that a stopped by a very cute gift shop and guess what they had!!

Happy Day! I just love bath products! You should see my bathroom. I have whole drawers dedicated to nothing but unique bar soaps. And that's just the beginning. You might say that I am a soap enthusiast.

This is me at my Bum-mi-est with my hair all jacked up and wearing an old t-shirt (gasp!) but the only thing I feel when I see this picture is beautiful. I don't need make up and fancy clothes to feel attractive. I have all the reassurance I need in knowing that my beauty starts from within and is reflected externally, even in a faded t-shirt.

My internet was not working today.

So, instead of my usual activities, I found myself peaking into old boxes and rediscovering my past. I browsed old pictured and was delighted to find a 2003-04 scrapbook of mine. It was very eye opening. I am a very different person than who I was back then. I am glad that my "inconvenience" was turned into a blessing where I was able to unwrap some cleverly concealed pieces of my soul.
